ILLNESS TURNED THEIR LIVES UPSIDE DOWN!!!
My brother’s family is getting through a lot.
My sister in law Jean Haro Cuenca came home from Hongkong before Christmas last year. Her employer and herself made this mutual decision as she is too unwell to carry on working. The day after her arrival, she was rushed to a local hospital and had her first of many haemodialysis after being diagnosed with end stage renal disease.
She had several more hospital stays to include 2 admissions to intensive care unit (ICU) in February 2018. This was followed by intensive haemodialysis treatment up to this point.
Having treatment twice a week means she gets more time to spend with our family but this is very exhausting psychologically, emotionally and financially. Years of hard earned saving was dissolved. We have been supporting each other within our small circle but we reach a point where we seek financial help and ask everyone to at least pray for our family.
We need slow trickles of kindness and support.
