April Day's Cancer Medical Bills

Donation protected
My name is April Day and on March 31st I recieved a phone call with the worst news of my life.  I was diagnosed with Stage 3, Grade 2 Breast Cancer with at least one Lymph node effected.

Since that first phone call, I have undergone more tests that I even knew existed. So far I have had a Mammogram, 2 biopsies, 2 MRIs, 2 ultra sounds, CT Scan, Bone Scan, an Echocardiogram and genetic testing.

All this testing led to finding out that I have a tumor that is 5.5 in X 4 in and about 2 in thick in my right breast along with Invasive Ductal and Lobular Carcinoma. There is also a mass around my ovary but we will not know if is is cancer until I have surgery which I can't have until after I am done with Chemo.

I had surgery to insert a port into my chest wall. This should make my chemo treatments easier. My first treatment was May 3rd which was very complicated and my port didn't work. My second treatment was better but still had some issues with my port. So we have my fingers crossed that it works right this next go around.

I have had a pretty rough time with the side-effects of chemo and all it comes with. I even had an allergic reaction to one of the drugs. But I will deal with whatever I need to to stay healthy and beat this challenge.

My wife, Nichole and I moved to Portland a little over a year ago and have discovered how expensive it is to live here compared to Arizona. We are just making it paycheck to paycheck as it is but we wouldn't change living here for anything. We love it here! I am also glad we are here because of all the medical options and the ease of treatment I have received. Nichole also had to have a hysterectomy in March.

So with all this going on we finally started receiving medical bills and we have quickly realized how over whelmed we are getting. Any money donated will go straight to one of my bills or medical expenses.

I have four more chemo treatments to get through and then I will be having surgery of some sort (mastectomy or double) and then radiation therapy.

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and good vibes! Any donation is more that appreciated no matter how small. I you are unable to donate please continue to keep us in your thought and feel free to pass/share this around.
