Application Fees for Medical School
Donation protected

I am applying to medical schools this summer and I cannot afford the application fees. I have some health issues that prevent me from working and going to school, and so I won’t be able to earn the money before the August deadlines. Through my own trials with congestive heart failure, I’ve rediscovered my passion for the health sciences and in helping others navigate challenges that come along with managing and maintaining good health. My medical fields of interest include (but not limited to) Obstetrics and Neonatology. Pursuing a career in medicine is my way of showing God’s glory, grace, and mercy for bringing me through my obstacles and hopefully allowing me to be an inspiration to others going through a hard time.
In my spare time I like to write about my challenges and my experience preparing for medical school. I also provide doula services to underrepresented women who may not have access to child birthing support and I also volunteer at a local hospice. From my own health journey I found that having meaningful connections with my health care providers was crucial to my recovery. Trusting their advice, knowing they actually empathized for me, and were relatable, made me feel like I wasn’t alone and they were “in it” with me. I want to be a supportive and kind physician for my patients because it meant the world to me when I needed it most.
