I know you've probably tried them all....but this hair care system was born from years of testing and using sub par products within my salon. By allowing my clients to voice their opinions and concerns about current products, I set out to develop the Ultimate Natural Hair Care System.

Antoinette has been in the cosmetology business for over 19 years originally from North Carolina. After working several years in the Human Resources field, she stepped out on faith to explore her passion for hair care, something she and her mother often did at home.
She attended CFCC for Cosmetology in Ocala, Florida, with all intentions of opening her own salon. Antoinette opened A Nu Twist Multi-Cultural Hair Salon in 1999, staffing over 8-10 stylist. She remains in the industry and has mentored and trained many new stylist.

1031 NW 6th Street, Suite B3, Gainesville, Florida
her desire was to create a diverse, professional, educational, competitive and creative work environment. Antoinette prides herself in being creative with natural hair and reliable customer service. Opening her own salon was the achievement of a lifetime, a life long dream and has hair become her passion.
Antoinette is a Licensed Cosmetologist and Loc Specialist concentrating on natural hair care. She has been published in magazines,trained as a platform artist for established companies and she is a Proctor for the Florida State Board, Hair Braider License Course. She also offers classes on natural haircare and has hosted INHMD (International Natural Hair Meetup Day) in the Gainesville area for several years as well as local natural hair meetups.
She has had extensive continuing education and experience, through Dudley’s, Taliah Waajid, Design Essentials, Mizani, Toni & Guy, Influance, Redken and many others and she continues to educate herself, as well as her team. by attending Hair Symposiums regularly.
Her affiliations include, Administrator for American Cancer Society “Look Good Feel Better” Program, Mizani Salon Certification, National Professional Women’s Association, INHMD, National Cosmetology Association, The Chamber of Commerce and locally by contributing to services for many charitable events every year.
Her advice to other aspiring business owners is to step out on faith! Prepare, Plan and Pray. Don’t reinvent the wheel; ask for advice from others in your field.
Fun Fact: I’m often asked how I came up with my salon’s name….the answer… ANT the first three letters of my name, A Nu Twist.
