Ant’s Birthday Project

As we know, Ant McPartlin has had a tough few years battling mental health issues, and he isn't the only one, 1 in 4 people every single year suffer from mental health problems with only 25% of those people getting the support they need. During the last parliament election, funding for mental health was cut by 8.25%, that equates to almost £600 million, this has lead to a rise in the number of suicides, mental health is not spoken about enough and needs to be.   I therefore thought that for Ant's birthday, we could all raise money for MIND the mental health charity. I have linked the website, but will tell you a little bit about the charity.  Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales, it offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health. For 70 years, Mind has been committed to making sure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem can access the support they need and is treated with the respect they deserve. Through public campaigns, influencing decision makers and the services our local Minds deliver in communities across England and Wales, we have touched millions of lives. Since launching their previous strategy in 2012 they've seen some significant changes in mental health. In just four years, public attitudes are improving, support is growing and mental health is high on the political agenda.  Because of Mind, millions more people have access to advice and support thanks to their information and services nationally and locally, in England and Wales. They're building on change, but they know there is much more to do.  Any size donation will help a huge amount,  £10 could help MIND campaign for better support services, talking therapy and crisis care for people whose mental health is in crisis. £21 could help their supportive online community Elefriends run for one hour, giving people the chance to get hugely valuable 'peer support'. £39 could allow their Infoline call handlers to answer 5 calls from people, often in desperate need of support, helping them to find support and a way forward.  https://www.mind.org.uk
