Dear GoFund Me,
My name is Antony Haynes, I am an independent TV format creator and creative with over 20 years experience in the Media and entertainment industry.
I am about to file a lawsuit and enter in to a legal battle against one of the most powerful men and companies in media for stealing a Television format I creaked, registered and pitched to them.
I have so much documented evidence that can legally prove in a court of law that this man and his company stole from me and also the possible motive behind them doing so.
The reason I started this GoFund me page is because I am in desperate need of donations to help fund my upcoming legal battle.
This type of conduct where TV production and Media companies steal formats and programs Ideas from creatives like myself has been going on for decades in the Television and Film industry and its time for it to stop and I believe that with your help we can do that and send a message to all companies who choose to conduct themselves in this way with a total disregard for the creative who creates their Multi Million ideas and TV formats that they can not get away with it anymore.

Here is my Story.
Between the years 2012 - 2015 I had several meetings with Talpa media which is owned by media Mogul (John De Mol) Big Brother, Deal Or No Deal and The Voice are just few of the TV formats and Programs John De Mol owns or has been responsible for.
During the 3 year relationship I was very clear with Talpa media verbally in person and via email I would be more than happy to work with John De Mol and Talpa and create formats for them and allow them to share in 50% of my intellectual property and 50% of ownership and all profits and income from anything I create which they take into development.
I gave and submitted several of my registered TV formats and ideas to Talpa for three years which included two Reality/Talent Competition formats in particular "Final Five" (Search for the Next Boy/Girl band) and "On The Spot"
After Months and Months of back and forth emails and meetings, Talpa's Vice-president of Content praised me for my creativity, skill and passion but declined to move forward with the development of my formats, which they Cleary stated via email and verbally to me.
In 2015 Talpa Media Announced that they would be launching their new Hit TV Format “The Next Boy/Girl Band) at first I was shocked by hearing the title alone because it was in documents created but I remained calm because even though I submitted them a format called “Final Five” Search for the Next Boy/Girl Band two years prior in order for there to be a real crime of copyright infringement Talpa Media would have to of also added key elements from my formats to this program because without Key elements its just an idea for a Boy/Girlband that anybody can come up with and have done so in the past.
I waited patiently until the trailer of “The Next Boy/Girl Band aired and was totally shocked to see that they had taken key elements from my other format called “On the Spot” and Merged them with Final five” to create what John De Mol and Talpa media is calling theirs “The Next Boy/Girl Band
It was very clear that Talpa had stolen from me and committed a totally breach of confidence. I worked for more than 3 years coming up with these formats only to have the elements and programs stolen from me by a company I truly believed was working with me.
I contacted Talpa right away and presented their lawyer with the documented facts that they had stolen from me and gave them an opportunity to sort things out with me and uphold my terms for working together.
They declined and instead their lawyer tried to intimidate me verbally in a meeting with the company’s head of business present so I stood up, politely wished them a good day and left.
I received a call that weekend from Talpa’s vice president of Content who was always my main contact at the company, we stayed on the phone for over 1 hour she was very Polite to me and apologized for their lawyers actions and asked me to please wait for a month until she was back at the office so she could take a look at all the facts but for me there was no need to wait because I had been dealing with these two formats with her directly for over 3 years and she was fully aware that the key elements and concept of the Next Boy/Girl band created at Talpa had been taken from my formats I delivered and shared with them.
The last thing she told me on the phone was that she understands that it looks like they stole from me but they really didn’t and she understands that I have to do what I have to do.
After doing some research I found out that John De Mol has a history of these types of situations dating back over 15 years from the days of Big Brother, Deal or no deal and even being sued and going to court in February 2017 for allegedly stealing the TV program “The Voice” which allowed him to close a deal with ITV for 1.1 billion euro in 2015.
The reason why this is so important to know is because the deal was split into two separate parts, which I believe is one of the reasons John de Mol and Talpa Media decided to steal my formats from me.
In the ITV/ TALPA Deal John De Mol and Talpa received 500 Million euro, the other 600 million attached to the deal would be paid out only when John De Mol/Talpa would make another Hit program like “The Voice” the key words being John De Mol and Talpa not Antony Haynes so I believe this was one of the main reasons they took the risk to steal my formats instead of partnering with me.
15 years ago my story would of never been heard but Because we are living in time where social media has a great impact to get the word of any injustice to the masses before going to court I decided to make videos explaining the entire situation and the videos are starting to build up some views and support from people in and outside of the industry.
I have contacted a great legal team who have looked through all of the documentation and correspondence and I have a very strong case but as you may know a case like this is very expensive so any and all help is welcome.
If I win the case I would like to use the money to start a company where creative people are welcome to come and build develop their ideas and build careers without fear of being stolen from.
