Anton’s Fight for Life

Four years ago Anton was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer - a head and neck cancer that is located in the nasal passage, close to the brain.
He went through 8 weeks of daily radiotherapy (35 rounds) and 2 doses of chemotherapy. The cancer caused
many side-effects, effecting his sight, hearing,  smell and taste, and a
reduced quality of life. The positive
part was that each subsequent check up was shown to be clear.

Ten weeks ago Anton felt he needed a thorough examination - he wasn’t feeling great. The dreaded news was
given - the cancer had returned, this
time with tumors spread to the base
of his skull and on the left side of his face. This is causing numbness to his
face and tongue - not great for a chef! 
The doctors cannot operate and can only offer strong chemotherapy which has extremely negative side effects and no guarantee of success. 
 After many days and weeks of research a hospital in Bangkok has been found, offering milder doses of chemo using insulin to reduce the chemo side-effects. This, along with oxygen and cell therapy, and vitamin infusions, combines medical and complementary therapies, not available in Australia. After regular communication with the doctors Anton has decided this is the path he is willing to take. Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer and his symptoms getting worse daily he is planning to head to Thailand by the second week of December for 6-8 weeks of treatment. Carole (Anton’s Mum) is going to accompany him for support. 

Many of you know Anton as a fun, warm, caring person, with a good (dry!) sense of humor and an unconditional
love for his 2 children, Kaiya aged 13 and Riley aged 5. There is nothing more he wants in life than to be there for them and watch them grow into happy and confident individuals. 

Please  help me, his children, mother, brother and friends give him the best chance he has of making this come true. ❤️
