His life is in our hands

GIVE ANTON A CHANCE TO LIVE

Anton is a poet and musician from Ukraine. Famous to many for his provocative and unique art, his life was almost cut short on a night around 2 years ago when someone pushed him down the stairs. Unfortunately, Anton fell down on his head and suffered a brain injury.

Shortly thereafter he fell into a coma for 1.5 years. We were so busy helping him we could not find the time to start properly looking into who did it, and why. Anton is the most peaceful and loving man I know so why would anyone harm him is a mystery to me...

Fast forward 1.5 years later, we are running out of funds to help him on his long journey to recovery. He’s made some progress but the end is not in sight. He can hear us but he can cannot speak. He can see us move but his own movements are very limited. For example, he can somewhat move his hands and legs, and lately even attempts to repeat the words we say with his lips.

But he is still too weak and it’s a long way to recovery. Part of his brain is injured, and, according to the latest brain studies, other parts of his brain slowly learn to do what the injured part did. There’s hope: doctors told us Anton has a chance to fully awaken — start speaking, moving, and even working.

At this stage 90% of success depends on us. On how we treat him. What doctors we can afford. How often they can visit him.

So we seek your help to continue Anton’s treatment.

We are doing what we can. His doctors told us if not for our help, he would already be dead. But, thank God, he is recovering. Unfortunately, our funds are running out.

At this point we don’t care for the truth, we don’t have the luxury of time to be looking for those who did it to him. Ultimately, the justice will shine through. At this point, we only want our friend, our son, our artist to live. For he deserves.

People say money can’t buy happiness. In this case it can. Because only we and our donations decide how much longer Anton is going to breathe. How good his rehabilitation is going to go. How fast he is going to recover.

We appeal to you to contribute as much as you can to help pay for the medical expenses. Thank you.
