THE STORY:
This is the Anthony Williams Fundraising project emerged in 2016, by the Williams Family, for generating required revenues to support Anthony regarding his medical dilemma.

On Mother’s Day In 1968, Anthony sustained severe injuries from the age of 7 from an automobile accident in which a truck collided with his family’s car while he was seated in the passenger seat.  He was left paralyzed since from severe brain injuries on the right side of his head as metal from the truck impacted and fractured his skull thereby affecting his normal brain functionality.

Following the accident, Anthony remained in the hospital for one year in a coma. When he finally awakened his body was paralyzed. Thereafter through present day, he presently is no longer able to walk, feed himself, or able to accomplish other vital daily personal care. Surprisingly, he exhibits an extreme level of determination to regain physical independence, even though medical diagnosis is at odds.  During occasions when dialog is possible, he continues to proclaim, after forty seven years, that he aspires to sing. However, to satisfy his determination, he needs your help, your contribution and your support.

There are many victims in this situation that requires a twenty-four hour nurse, educational instructors and physician’s assistance to help them. His mother Esther Williams has been helping him for over forty seven years and as she continues to age, she is developing limitations and is becoming unable to perform all the things she use to do.

Before Anthony was paralyzed, he was considered to be the ideal lead singer for the gospel group, “The Exciting Williams Brothers.” They were from a family of five boys and three girls.  Their father who manages the group, traveled with his five sons to various churches singing gospel music.  While in commute way to perform gospel at a church, they experienced a catastrophic accident with a tractor trailer truck. Anthony was hit on the right side of his head from shrapnel that was propelled from the truck.  Anthony’s father kept him alive until a helicopter arrived carrying a professional team.

There are many people in this situation that need a twenty-four hour nurse, teachers to help them and doctors to help them, towards making their life more enjoyable and get them back into society to live and do the things we take for granted.

We are reaching out for help, because there are also many others in similar situations in need of help.  Just a little goes a long way!  (He ain't heavy he's my brother)
