On January 6, 2018, our family was robbed of the best person we know.  In the process of trying to stop an armed robbery, Anthony Quintela was caught in the crossfire and killed.

Born in New Jersey, Anthony spent his entire life in Tucson, Arizona, and there was nothing he loved more than the Wildcats (except his grandkids of course).  Anthony was a prolific tradesman, having worked at the University of Arizona for the last 20 years.  He lived his life by placing an emphasis on taking responsiblity for what we do and say, doing what was right and fair, and believing that morals and integrity were key to living a happy and properous life.  Anthony's wisdom and fairness were widely known; he was often sought after to settle disputes and give advice.

It was a normal Saturday night for the Quintela family, a double date with son Michael, his fiancee Jolie, mom Jeanne and dad Anthony.  No one ever expects to be put in a life or death situation while out for a snack - but in the blink of an eye, life as we know it changed forever.  After noticing the establishment they were eating at was being robbed, Michael did the best thing he thought possible - get his family to safety and try to neutralize the situation.  The suspect chose not to comply and fired indiscriminately, taking our Hero from us.

Anthony and his wife Jeanne are in the prime of their lives.  Looking forward to retirement, building a new homestead with the family, and watching their seven grandkids grow up.  Now sons Michael and Frank are left to pick up the pieces and honor his legacy.  A huge part of this is making sure that their mom is provided for in the same way Dad would have wanted.

We are asking for your assistance in taking care of unexpected funeral expenses and hopefully to ease some of Mom's burden.  The immediate family will make sure funds are allocated appropriately and in line with Anthony's wishes.
