Answers for Summer

Summer, Dawn Boucher’s baby girl, passed away Monday night – on the first day of Spring. She was 9 weeks old when she got her & 9 years old when she passed away. This was the worst possible weekend for Dawn to be away from her. Summer was a healthy, happy dog when Dawn dropped her off and because suddenly sick in a matter of days. She was falling down on walks and unable to get up so she was carried in. She wasn't eating, going to the bathroom, or moving. The people who watched her didn't want to call and worry Dawn. On their way home, they were told Summer just wasn't herself and that she was having hip problems. They continued to drive home and got another phone call saying Summer had collapsed. The pet sitter asked Dawn "should I take her to the vet?" without fully telling her the severity of the situation. Having no idea all of this was happening. She died. Dawn lost her baby girl. She believes Summer would be alive today had the pet sitter taken action by taking her to the vet. Dawn could see the pain and fear in her eyes when she saw her on their living room floor. “I don't understand. We had no real signs just that her hips were sore.  If I'd been here this may have never happened. I'm so heart broken. I didn't get to say good bye. We didn't get to say good bye.... I will never see Summer again.”

This GoFundMe is to raise money for Dawn and her family so they do not have to pay for the autopsy out of pocket and can figure out exactly what happened to Summer. Her passing was so sudden. We are all heart broken and in shock. We need the funds as soon as possible.

We all know how much Summer meant to Dawn simply by how her eyes would light up anytime she would talk about her. She was a very loved member of the Boucher family.

This $500 would really help Dawn have more peace of mind about what happened to her baby. She has not asked for any of this and it is very last minute, we just want to show her we are there for her and her family and our hearts are so heavy for her loss.
