Annie's Dream

Hello, my name is Annie and I’m a communications consultant  from Prince Edward Island with high ambitions. I’m on a mission to create a new brand that resonates with curious humans, holding special attention to the female marketplace. I know that my vision for this brand is one that brings a fresh, holistic look at this multi-dimensional industry. 

Our neighbours south of the border have predicted that women will steer this industry into the first billion dollar industry driven by majority female leaders. This model is beginning to spread itself in Canada through organizations like Women Grow, but it’s momentum has stalled in our city centres like Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. This left me feeling like my dreams were unattainable because of where I choose to live. But after many inspiring conversations with successful entrepreneurs from PEI, my spark has been re-lit. 

This is where you come in. There is an Expo** happening in Toronto on the weekend of May 26th -28th. Last year I was able to fund my trip and knew immediately that my investment was worthwhile. But since I’ve made the decision to dive in headfirst and apply for a self-employment grant, I don’t have the resources to get myself there this year. I’m hoping, with a little help from my friends, I’ll be able to get myself to Toronto, find a floor to sleep on, and soak in all the information I can. So  when I come home, I can apply what I’ve learned, and start working with our community to help Prince Edward Island become a leader in this industry both in Canada and worldwide.
