Help Cure Rescue Kitty Cat Anna

"My name is Annie, I was so happy to be adopted from a rescue center but in January of 2016 my rescuer died suddenly one morning while going out to get the mail. I never got to say goodbye or even know what ever happened to her. I still watch out the windows hoping she will come home someday.
Luckily I was quickly adopted by my caretakers son but I've suddely gotten sick and could use some expensive medical help. My current caretaker knows all the specific details. Thank you for reading my story."

I lost my mother earlier this year and along with wrapping up all her personal affairs, I also adopted her beautiful calico cat Anna. She loves to play and be told how pretty she is while I'm brushing her.





I brought Anna to the vet because she had developed a bit of a sneeze or cough which they gave her an antibiotic injection for. However, they also gave me some far worse news.

The vet said she had lost two pounds since her last visit. After doing some tests they determined that Anna has Hyperthyroidism which means her high level of activity is not quite normal and her body continually burns calories and she will continue to loose weight, despite eating a lot. Hyperthyroidism also affects the heart as well as kidneys if left untreated but it is curable in cats with a single radioactive iodine treatment. This treatment is quite expensive and must be done at a special facility.

Anna also has two teeth which may or may not need to be removed, depending on what they find during a sedated dental exam/cleaning. This is also a costly procedure but at least it can be done at the local pet clinic.

All funds raised will go directly to scheduling and paying for Anna's medical care and this campaign will end when all her expenses have been raised. Anything extra will be used to buy a few extra toys or perhaps even adpot her a playmate.
