Anna's life saving treatment fund
Donation protected
My Aunty Anna who lives in Kenya has recently been diagnosed with life threatening Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She had been suffering with debilitating symptoms for some time without knowing what was wrong. It wasn't until she became extremely ill and was rushed to hospital and given a number of blood transfusions that we realised her condition was very serious. The tests confirmed that she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
The doctors have said that her only chance of survival is if she recieves an urgent bone marrow transplant. This presents a huge problem as this life saving treatment is not available where Anna lives in Kenya.
As you can imagine, as a family, we are devastated to be faced with this situation and know that we must do everything possible to obtain this treatment for her.
We are trying to arrange for Anna to travel to India for this life saving treatment as it would cost so much more in other countries. Doctors have estimated the cost at €50,000. This is a staggering amount and this is why we are asking for your help. As a family, we alone cannot raise these funds and so we are reaching out to family, friends and anyone who would like to help us raise these vital funds to give Anna the chance of life.
We hate having to ask for money but as time is of the essence we must put our pride aside and make this urgent appeal.
Any donation big or small would be gratefully received and much appreciated.
Many thanks to those of you who have already pledged a donation. We are forever indebted to you.
