Animator's Aid

How many 6 year olds do you know who wake up at 5 in the morning every day to watch old Disney cartoons? That was me growing up. While everybody else was still figuring out what they'd like for a career, I had my mind set: I wanted to make cartoons.

Over 15 years later, I am one of ten students who have been selected from across the country to attend the 3 year animation program at Exceptional Minds--the only animation school in the country specifically tailored for students on the autism spectrum. All ten members of this year's graduating class got jobs in the animation and special effects industry. Acceptance at this school is a turning point in my life and allows me the chance to finally achieve my dream.

I am living with my single mom, and resources are very limited. The total cost of attending the school for the first year alone--including tuition and living expenses--is $46,800. I will need to raise most of this money in order to attend this Fall. Even a small contribution is a huge step towards achieving my dreams.
