Feed & Vaccinate Hungry Cats & Dogs

Help Feed and Vaccinate Hungry Cats and Dogs on a Remote and Beautiful Greek Island!

The cat and dog population of Amorgos, Greece, desperately needs your help NOW!

Amorgos is a unique, fragile, and isolated island community in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea, where approximately 2000 permanent residents live alongside an animal population that out numbers the human by a ratio of twenty to one. Animal Zone International works in partnership with the Municipality and residents of Amorgos to rehabilitate animals and educate the younger generations, making them aware of animal rights. There is no permanent vet on the island, but Animal Zone consistently organizes visits from veterinarians all over Greece, sponsoring animal treatments, sterilizations, vaccinations and adoptions.

Over the years, the stray dog population diminished thanks to treatment and relocation through an active adoption program. Yet, some dogs are still mistreated, abandoned, and forced to scrounge for food on their own.

Many stray cats still live in colonies without sufficient food and preventative medicine. They become infected with various viruses, bacteria and other parasites, often resulting in chronic mouth, stomach and eye infections, leading to blindness, to a life of pain and suffering and to early death.

Animal Zone International believes a small effort can change the fate of these cats and dogs tremendously. This crowd-funding project aims at vaccinating and feeding 200 animals. Well-fed stray animals will benefit more from preventative treatment and vaccination, lowering the risk of infections being passed around.

The total cost for the program is $12,000: $6,000 for food + $6,000 for vaccines and parasite treatments for 200 animals (cats and dogs) for one season.

Join our efforts and make a big difference in the lives of these animals today! Please DONATE NOW!
