Animal Sanctuary Revitalization

We are The Animal Awareness Society, a 501(c)(3), non-profit animal assistance group that helps abandoned and unwanted animals find new, loving forever homes. We have been incorporated since 2004. Currently, we have five volunteers that provide care for about 120 animals. We are renting and starting to renovate an old 'backyard breeder's' run-down property into a state-of-the-art, state-licensed Animal Sanctuary. We are SORELY in need of new space for the rescued and foster animals in our care as we have run out of room in foster homes, are over-crowded and need this new and expanded space to continue our work. We have been in rescue, foster and adoption care and been incorporated since 2004. WE NEED HELP TO CONTINUE TO HELP THE ANIMALS!

We are seeking donations for renovations to three large buildings that will house 88 kittens and cats, and an area for 20 dogs. All buildings had to be completely stripped as they were all wood which is against code, and all had black mold. We have to rebuild everything from the studs up, install appropriate ventilation and air circulation, redue all floors, walls and ceilings.

This has been our long-term goal since our incorporation.  We desire to partner with local hospices to assist in the care of animals of hospice patients that may not have a home after the death of the hospice patient. This will allow the pet to stay with the patient until the end without having the patient worry about what will happen to their beloved pet.

We are always open to donations of cat toys, litter, Friskies Pate wet food, bedding, paper towels and cleaning items, just to mention a few "wishes".
