Please help my diabetic cat Angus

My cat Angus, and my best friend for 11 years was diagnosed with diabetes. I never knew cats could get diabetes. I was told by vet with insulin and special diet he could live many more years. A lot of people advised I put him down...... but if you had child with diabetes would you kill them? That is just not an option for me. The cost of his twice daily insulin and needles , special diet food, vet visits, glucose checks are very expensive. Angus vet is http://clairemontvet.com/
If this were for me, I would never ask for help... but it is for Angus. I have very limited income, at this point in time, and barely making it. I have to put pride aside for my baby sake. It has come down to food/bills/my meds and co-pays or Angus medications. I continue to struggle more as each month goes by with the high cost of care.
Angus was found in a rainstorm in 2004, wandering around lost , soaking wet, hair matted and covered in fleas in Bay Park. They estimated his age at 1 yr. I adopted him from Humane Society and he is so friendly and loving. He is my everything as I now live alone after living and caring for my Mom for a year.
I have helped many in past and now I find myself needing help. Reality hit hard this month, as I have few days of insulin and needles left and no way to pay for more, or the vet exam he needs to check his glucose levels. The money asked for will help out immensely with some of high cost of care and hopefully I will be in better place soon.
I know so many need help these days and I appreciate any help given... no matter how small. I promise I will pay it forward, as I always have, when I am in better position financially.
