Herniated disc surgery L5/S1

Hello all, thank you for taking time from your busy lives to hear my story and consider helping. I am a single mother, working full-time, who is struggling with medical bills. I have a ruptured disc in my L5/S1 and need to have a laminectomy to correct it. We're not sure how the disc became ruptured, I was in no accident or anything. I Just bent over one day to pick up a basket of laundry and my back went totally out on me. I have insurance but even with my Cigna plan, my portion of the surgery will be $3,500.00. I was told that this is a roughly $60,000.00 surgery and I'm thankful to have insurance that will cover most of it. However, I have been taken off of work due to the severe pain and limited mobility that I am experiencing right now. I have applied for short term disability but I have no idea if (or when) that will be approved. Until that gets (hopefully) approved, I have no income whatsoever.

The doctor is very hopeful that this surgery can help me to get back on my feet, get back to work, and get back to a sense of normalcy. I need $1,000 for a down payment for the surgery. I must have this $1,000 before they will even schedule/perform the surgery. They will let me make payments on the balance of $2500 once I get back to work but it would be nice if I could pay all $3500 without going into debt. They want to schedule the surgery for November 1st or 2nd but they will not schedule until I can come up with at least the $1,000 down payment so there is a bit of urgency in needing these funds quickly. The longer I am off of work, the deeper into debt and/or homelessness I and my children will go....

I could also use help with household bills that are piling up while I am off work but the surgical procedure is what I need help with the most. Electric, water, car insurance, and even rent are all in jeopardy of being cut off or causing us to be evicted so anything over the $3500.00 would still be used to help my family in so many beneficial ways. (For instance, food would be a valued purchase!)

I need this surgery so that I can get back to work and take care of my family. My children rely solely on me, I am the only parent in their lives and the only family member that they have in the state we live. Any help you can provide would not be taken for granted or misused.
