Angel's Cancer Fight

Believing she was severely dehydrated from a stomach virus, Angel was taken to RI Hospital for treatment. It was on that day, February 28, 2017, that Angel found out she has an aggressive melanoma that has metastasized to several area's of her body including her lymph nodes, spine, spleen, breast bone, ribs and thighs.
Within the 3 weeks, Angel has undergone numerous testing - MRI's of every major part of her body, biopsies, catscans and ultrasounds. She has already had 2 major surgeries (4-6 hours long, back to back) to remove a tumor around her spine causing her to lose part of rib, a cage around her spine as well as plates, rods, pins and screws to repair the fracturing done by the tumor.
Angel's fight is far from over. Once her surgeries are healed, she will be transferred to a rehab center to strengthen her spine through physical and occupational therapy as well receiving radiation and systemic treatments.
The Brown Family (Angel, her husband, Matt, and their 3 daughters ages 21, 15 and 12) has been turned completely upside down in a very short time and will continue for an undetermined time. Angel will spend 3-6 months in a rehabilitation facility while receiving treatments. In addition, the family will need to relocate a new home/apartment that is handicapped accessible before she can come home.
All of these unfortunate circumstances come with major expenses not covered by insurances. So far, all savings have been exhausted in trying to keep their home running, their children taken care of as well as unexpected medical expenses. We as a family would like to humbly ask for any guidance and assistance during this very difficult time. We appreciate any help you can give and thank you in advance for your kindness.
