Angelo, Enzo's Daddy, Has Passed

Donation protected
About six months after the birth of her son, Enzo, my loving sister made the difficiult but necessary decision to completely dissolve her tumlutuous relationship with Angelo, Enzo's father. Eventually she could no longer afford to live in Colorado and packed up her and Enzo's necessities and found affordable living in Florida.  After about two years apart from Enzo's daddy, Nicole began to hear that  Angelo had made positive changes in his life and was in a positive place emotionally and living just eight hours away, so she decided to reach out to him for much needed financial and emotional support for her son.  Angelo responded enthusiastically and began offering monthly support. He begged to build a relationship of some kind with his son and Nicole cautiously allowed it. They managed to coparent effectively and Angelo even helped Nicole through some seasonal depression and physical illness she was experiencing. In the past few months, they were able to spend precious time as a family (and even his loving grandparents), enjoying things like skipping stones, building with blocks, practicing gymnastics, playing ball, story time snuggles and even their first Christmas and birthday together. During this time of connection with his father Enzo became a brighter and even happier little boy and Angelo was enjoying fatherhood and giving a great effort to get to know his son again. Nicole was grateful for the help and made two road trips to stay with his family. Angelo flew out to Florida just two weeks ago to help with things she was struggling with at home, like yard work and repairs. Things were going well and he even bought a ticket to return on April 4th.

Sadly, Angelo passed suddenly last evening. He was only 37 years old. Nicole says from the moment she met him she knew he had a heart of gold and fell in love with him the day he gave the shirt of his back and last five bucks to a blind homeless man. He was definitely one of the good ones.

My sister found out the unexpected news in the early hours of the morning yesterday as she was transporting her mother and son to a long planned family trip to Orlando with my kids and me. My sister struggles with an often debilitating illness herself and already has a hard time making ends meet. She had really started to rely on Angelo's monthly support. She has no money in savings. Now she needs to insure that she can travel to Tennessee to help Angelo be properly memorialized and tie up important loose ends that are necessary for her son's future. She needs all the help she can to get through this hard time.

Please send your condolences to my sister via social media and if possible please commit even five dollars to helping her get through this very difficult time. Even just sharing this post could help.

Most of all love the ones you are with and know that life is fleeting and we all should be so very grateful for every moment with are loved ones!
