We all know you know our story. Two years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. After four surgeries and the removal of my left tube and ovary we were ready to start trying for our family. That's when we met with Dr. Karnitis at Kettering Hospital. We went through all the steps necessary to try to conceive.
First I started a medication with a shot that I gave myself at home with timed intercourse. Three months of that yielded three negative tests. Then followed three IUI (intra-uterine inseminations) with a two week wait period and each resulted in a negative test. This six months was a really tough time for me. I thought for sure everything would be okay and we would be able to conceive. But we couldn't and we were faced with the big question :When do we start our journey to IVF? For the last six months I have been on a medication called Lupron-depo; this medication stops my system from functioning to save my right side from further damage. But we are not racing against the clock.
We are in the process to start our IVF journey but we do need help. Our insurance doesn't cover anything related to infertility treatment which has made this route of treatment absolutely terrifying. We are letting go of our pride and starting an IVF Fund for those that want to support us monetarily (we are not asking for exact amount that IVF will cost us).
Please do not feel like you are obligated to donate because we know that not everyone is financially capable of helping on this endeavor. If you aren't able to donate please feel free to keep praying for us, as we are hopeful we will be able to expand our family.
