Angela Entz

On May 15, 2017 37 year old Angela Entz was seriously injured as a result of a workplace accident. A 500 lb steel beam fell from a mezzanine 20 feet above, landing on Angela's neck and pinning her to the ground. Angela was taken by ambulance to Lethbridge Regional Hospital where an MRI showed she had broken her neck and damaged her spinal cord. She was then flown by STARS air ambulance to Calgary Foothills hospital where she will be receiving care and rehabilitation for the next 4-6 months.

After a 6 hour surgery to repair her broken neck (c6 and c7) it was discovered that her spinal cord injury had rendered her paralyzed from her armpits down and she had lost use of her hands. Because she has lost use of 4 limbs this classified Angela as a quadriplegic. You can imagine at only 37 years old this is devastating news to Angela as well as her family and friends.

In a matter of seconds, Angela's life is forever changed. Once she is released from rehabilitation Angela will require specialized care and assisted living for the rest of her life. Angela's goal is to one day regain semi independent living in a home of her own. Our goal is to raise funds to help Angela purchase a wheelchair accessible home, customized to her for the new lifestyle she is now facing.
