New Sweden: In the year 1638 the Kingdom of Sweden founded its first colony in the new world, which it called Nya Sverige. The longest serving Governor was Johan Printz, who built Printzhof. His daughter, Armegot Printz, was the first woman to own a licensed distillery in America (1672). Since Printzhof produces Swedish whiskey in an American style our products are named in honor of Armegot Printz and Sweden’s Golden Age of new world exploration.


Who are we?

Printzhof Destilleri AB  is the dream  of Mike, Johan and Jordan  We plan to produce the first super and ultra-premium American-style whiskies in Scandinavia. The whiskey will be produced using the best quality Swedish corn, rye and malted barley, and will be distilled using a continuous column still, then matured in the finest new American oak casks, procured from the one of the best cooperages in the world, Independent Stave Company (ISC).

Clear product differentiation

Provenance of the product will be clearly documented. All grains are non-GMO and grown in Sweden. The provenance of all procured whiskies and casks will be available to customers.

Competitive price point (MSRP €49-€169) compared to other super and ultra-premium American-style whiskies on the market, which is appropriate for these unique products.

 With six mash bills, two proprietary yeast strains and a variety of cask finishes, the variation of possible special super premium whiskey releases is limitless, which is a core tenant of super premium brands.

The power of its presentation, uniqueness and aesthetic quality of the product packaging, using top quality Swedish produce, together with the best casks available. Overall display is considered a key factor for super premium and luxury brands.

 

How we create our unique flavor profile

To create our unique flavors we go back to the beginning of American whiskey and then add some modern techniques, while always paying meticulous attention to detail at every phase. We will only use the best Swedish ingredients, including  corn, rye, and malted barley, together with optimum yeast strains and pure Swedish water. Add to this the fantastic Swedish environment that enhances the maturation process. Continual monitoring of the whiskey as it ages will insure it is only selected when the flavor and balance is perfect. We do this to ensure that you will experience our devotion and passion with every bottle of Printzhof whiskey. Our fundraiser

We are in the beginning stages of founding a new distillery that will produce top-quality American-style rye and corn (bourbon) whiskies in Sweden. This fund raising (100 000 SEK or $12000 USD) campaign will help with expenses associated with founding the business (licenses and required  capital for setting up a limited company in Sweden). This will allow us to attract the larger investments necessary to found a new distillery.
