Nice to meet you! Our names are Andres and Brenna, and we are a pair of young, aspiring indie game developers working hard to make our very first video game here in Miami, Florida.
We have always been extremely passionate about video games and animation. These mediums have enriched our lives in immesurable ways and it is our dream to in turn share our creations with the world in the hopes that people like you will enjoy them and be inspired to create as well!
We've worked very hard over the years pursuing our educations in game design and animation. We are both recent college graduates who have won several awards for our efforts in the fields of game design and art.
We recently competed in the MIA Animation festival's Game On! Indie Game Design Competition. We created a prototype, showed it to industry professionals, and WON FIRST PLACE! WOW! This was a big milestone for us, because we have now been placed in an incubator program where we are expected to create the game professionally and make our first commercial release.
Our goal for our indie game, Galaxy Games, is to create a fun and unique experience for our players. The game takes childhood favorites such as Tag, King of the Hill, and Hide and Seek and throws them into outer space for a thrilling, futuristic twist! Now all your favorite nostalgic playground games are being played by multiple alien life forms in space ships for the fate of the universe!
We are working on a game that supports 4 person local multiplayer in order to promote interpersonal relationships as opposed to the anonymity of online play. We want to make something that anyone can enjoy with their best friends on a couch that isn't the same as the fighting, racing, or shooting genres we are used to.
We intend to offer innovative gameplay and mechanics in an upbeat, nostalgic format that pays homage to classic gaming aesthetics. The game is played top down in several different arena stages. We want to create a game that invites players to get creative by building their own levels and editing customizable game logic. We hope this interactive approach will inspire others to get involved in game design as we are.
We want to feature a full cast of original characters, complete with their own vibrant artwork, classic 2D animation, and stories. We hope this will add an extra level of depth to the experience as players enjoy the artwork, relate to the characters, and follow their stories.
We are now in development and hoping to release Galaxy Games in Fall of 2016, but we can't do it without your help!

100% of funds raised will go towards software, hardware, legal fees, marketing, education, and other necessary expenses in order to complete the game as professionally as possible for next year.
