From the first moment that we stepped foot into St. James, we knew we were in a place that we could call home. Throughout our time together as a couple, we have gotten involved at St. James and have loved being a part of their ministry, one that is rooted in loving your neighbor as yourself.

We're excited to use our wedding as a platform to support the community outreach efforts of St. James, work that truly reaches out to the needs of the surrounding community.

Normally, an engaged couple would ask their wedding guests to gift them with items that they do not yet have so that they can comfortably begin their life together. We have more than enough stuff between the two of us to furnish our new place, cook meals, and host friends and family.

Instead of asking for gift items for our wedding, we ask you to consider donating to St. James. This gift to our community would be significantly more meaningful to us as a couple than anything you could buy us.

Also, no matter how much we are able to raise, you can rest assured that this campaign will be incredibly impactful on St. James and the surrounding community. Currently, the church and all community outreach efforts operate on only a $200,000 annual budget.

Thanks in advance for supporting something that is meaningful for us and for being a part of our community!

Andrea & Adam

Happy Sunday, everyone!

We wanted to share a quick update about all your support to help propel St James' community work.

After several conversations, we decided to focus our support on the Troost39 Thrift Store (run by St James' parishioners) in hopes of increasing their profitability to then, in turn, be able to fund even more community outreach efforts.

Here's Troost39's Facebook page: facebook.com/pg/Troost39

Specifically, with this support, Troost39 hired local marketing firm Brands That Speak (brandsthatspeak.com) in January to create and execute a marketing plan which includes a fancy new website which is coming soon!

The thrift store has already seen a significant increase in online engagement and is expecting that to translate to increased sales once the weather cooperates.

With increased sales, Troost39 will not only be able to support other St James' efforts, but they plan to make two of their part-time employees full-time and increase the wages of their other employees. Quality jobs are huge catalysts in low-income communities.

Thanks again for all you did to make this happen and if you get a chance, swing by 3922 Troost to check it out!

It takes a village!

We're finally getting a chance to touch base with everyone! Thank you sooooo much for your generosity!

First, we're excited to let you know that we've been in talks with St James about how to best put the nearly $12,000 to work. This is going to make such a difference! :)

Second, if you made a donation and would like a TAX RECEIPT, please send us your mailing address via email (andreaadam7718@gmail.com) and we will pass it along to St James.

Finally, we had such an amazing time at our wedding and honeymoon (in Alaska)! We wanted to share the photos from both so you all can see them if you're interested.

Here are the wedding photos:
