André Wigley Eagle Shed Rennovation

Donation protected
My name is André Wigley, prospective Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 61. For my Eagle project, I aim to renovate the Corning Children's Center's shed to make it a safer and cleaner place for children to have fun in.

Currently, the shed interior is in an unfortunate condition of disrepair. The carpet is dirty and in need of a replacement, the door won't open properly and the displays don't support their educational intent and need refurbishment.

This renovation will involve:

1. Removing, trimming and reinstalling the shed door in order for it to open/close properly

2. Installing 11 feet of shelving and removable Acrylic/Plexiglas viewing covers in the structure to mount educational resources at child appropriate height.

3. Removing existing carpet in shed, cleaning, and installing durable rubber utility flooring tiles designed for the purpose.

4. Collecting and installing various nature related educational resources including fossils, shells, and books to be exhibited in the shed

Factoring in the costs of materials, supplies, tools, food, and educational resources my project will require approximately $800 to carry out. Any unused funds will be donated directly to the Corning Children's Center to support maintenance of the shed.

Your support would be greatly appreciated by the children that attend the Center as it would give them a safe play area, by the administrative staff at the Center, and by myself in order to help complete my long awaited trek to earning the Eagle Rank.
