Olá pessoal! No começo de abril, nossos amigos Anderson Cabral e Andrew Orozco sofreram um grave acidente de carro a caminho de Dallas. Anderson teve fraturas na perna esquerda e calcanhar direito. Andrew teve fraturas na perna, tornozelo e joelho esquerdo, braço direito e no crânio. Ambos passaram por várias cirurgias até o momento e o Andrew ainda tem outra cirurgia pela frente. Os dois foram para centros de reabilitação para tratamentos intensivos com fisioterapeutas e terapeutas ocupacionais. Considerando a gravidade dos ferimentos, eles terão pelo menos 3 meses de reabilitação pela frente, sem poderem desenvolver suas atividades na TAMU normalmente. Anderson tem seguro de saúde pela TAMU e Andrew através do pai dele, mas sabemos que os gastos com saúde, além de despesas com aluguel e outras coisas, ficarão bastante puxados. Por isso, o objetivo desse fundraising é ajudá-los financeiramente durante o período em que eles não poderão trabalhar. Além disso, o Anderson está longe da família, que está no Brasil, e conta com a ajuda dos amigos brasileiros aqui no Texas para ajudarem na sua recuperação. Qualquer ajuda é muito bem-vinda!!! Hi guys! At the beginning of April, our friends Anderson Cabral and Andrew Orozco were in a terrible car accident on their way to Dallas. Anderson broke his left leg and his right heel. Andrew broke his left leg and knee, his right arm and his skull. Both of them had many surgeries so far, and Andrew will have another surgery next week. They also had gone to rehab for intensive treatments with physical and occupational therapists. Considering the severity of their injuries, they are going to have at least 3 months of rehab ahead, without being able to fully return to their activities at TAMU. Anderson has insurance by TAMU and Andrew has his dad's insurance, but as we know the expenses with health and personal expenses, such as rent, will be tough. Thus, the goal of this fundraising is to help them throughout this period of time while they cannot work. Moreover, Anderson is far from his family, which is in Brazil and he is counting on his friends in Texas to help him to fully recover. Any help is welcome and appreciated! Thank you!!!
