Anabelle's Service Learning in Peru

Hello,
My name is Anabelle and I am currently a senior at the University of Central Florida studying Human Communications. This semester, I have the opportunity to participate in a service learning, study abroad trip to Peru. Although I will not take part in any spring break activities on my last year, I am more than happy that I will be able to teach and learn from others.
Amidst studying the Peruvian culture this semester, my course will focus on the importance of the Quecha language and women in the infrastructure of the family and society. Once I arrive to Peru, I will then have the opportunity to work amongst communal projects that include teaching english to elementary age children, creating bilingual promotion and marketing items for a leather-product store in a teen-maternity home, cleaning and maintaining a beautification project for the original Inca walls in the city and working in a pet rescue and shelter mission for abandoned/lost pets in the area.
I am very excited to not only learn, but immerse myself in a rich culture. I just need your help! My first payment of $1,000 is due January 30th and the rest of the funds/second payment is due on the 28th of Febraury.
