An Experience of a Lifetime for Ploe Kaw Thaw

Donation protected
Ploe Kaw Thaw, a free-spirited, adventurous, and curious young man whom I have had the pleasure of working with has the chance to participate in a trip across the country through a summer camp he has attended in past years. This Super Senior Trip not only allows Ploe Kaw Thaw, a refugee from Burma, to see America, but he would participate in community service projects and pursue leadership opportunities. In addition, Ploe Kaw Thaw would have a blast experiencing so many things for the first time in his life: surfing, sailing, mountain biking and visiting the Grand Canyon, something Ploe is especially excited for. Altogether, this experience would open a world of growth to this young man.

A little about Ploe: He's 14 years old and lives in inner-city, Albany, NY with his parents, both of whom can't speak, read or write English, yet. The family resettled in America from refugee camps located on the border of Thailand and Myanmar.  Ploe's dad works in a factory. Ploe attends Hacket Middle School in Albany, NY.

If you are able to contribute to giving Ploe opportunities and a world of "firsts", please know that no donation is too small - every penny will be one step closer to making his dream come true. On behalf of Ploe, his hard-working family, and the entire refugee community, I sincerely thank you.
