Amy Needs AC

Hey guys.

As you know, I started this venture (Amy On The Radio) back in May with almost zero budget. I spent what little savings I had to acquire hardware to get this show up and running.

Back then, we had unseasonably cooler weather. In fact, a tornado touchdown in the backyard took out a pre-amp, power, cable, and delayed the show's official start date by about a week.

I don't make much from this little growing venture as-is. I just enjoy making good radio. Most evenings with the door closed, the temp runs very high -- averaging high 90's and sometimes over 100's.

This is a pic of what the room is like half an hour before the show when I attempt to run all of the fans in the house and bring cooler air into the room. It's currently 89 F outside.

This week we are in a heat advisory and outdoor temps will be climbing higher. There have been evenings I've been in-session and I've nearly fainted or gotten very sick during breaks. My Central AC unit sucks, and I don't own this place.

I found this portable unit which would be quiet enough to run and more than adequate for this room.

I have Amazon Prime until July, so free shipping and no sales tax will be applied.

I'm open to any feedback. If you can contribute, every little bit counts.

Much Love,

Amy
