Amy's Journey With Cancer and Multiple sclerosis

My friend/co-worker, Amy Peters, is the nicest, funniest, animal loving person I have ever met. Unfortunately, Amy has had a long journey with her medical issues. The past 15 years she has dealt with Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As many of you know, MS is a very difficult thing to live with.
In October of 2018, Amy found out that she not only has MS but now has been diagnosed with breast cancer. With that being said, Amy has had to take a lot of personal time off of work to deal with breast cancer and everything that comes along with it.
Amy is the dog groomer at Dakotah's Doggy Daycare Hotel and Salon. She goes above and beyond for every dog. Every Friday, for the past 12 weeks, she has had to go through Chemo-therapy. Over the course of those 12 weeks, her body has become weaker and she feels physically ill most of the time. She now has to go in once a month for one year for Herceptin therapy. Yet, she still smiles every day.
As we all can imagine, these medical bills can get very expensive. Not only do Amy and her husband have to worry about medical bills, they still have other bills they have to worry about as well. Anything received above her goal will help alleviate the burden of everyday living expenses.
I am so fortunate that I get to work with Amy and have gotten to know her over the past year. I envy her for always being so positive, even when life can be so hard.
