Battle of the Salon's Fundraiser

Hello Friends,

We are excited to announce Amp’Diva Salon has been selected to compete in The Battle of the Salon’s, a nine day Avant Garde Runway competition along with thirty-nine other salons in the Austin area.  The Live Final Runway Judging will be held on April 29th at the Highland Lounge.  The winner from this show, will go on to compete in the National's in Las Vegas, NV date currently TBD.  There, we will compete for the top #1 salon in the U.S.A. 

We are presently the only salon selected from the Round Rock area.  We are chomping at the bit awaiting the announcement of the Austin competition theme.  Part of the excitement, and the challenge is that the theme for each competition stop has been completely different.  From under the sea, to steampunk these dynamic themes have run the gambit of rich creative possibility.  Each one has proven to be a challenging opportunity for salons to showcase their unique visions, and push the envelope of creativity.  I mean really, how often do you get to see angel wings made of hair, or a beautiful vision of a jellyfish strut down the runway?!

My name is Jenn, and I am the owner, and Master Stylist at Amp'Diva Salon in Round Rock, TX.  Amp’Diva has been a dream come true fifteen years in the making.  We pride ourselves on maintaining a high level of professionalism while rocking a Steele Magnolias meets Barbershop esthetic.  Our philosophy is, “Come in a stranger, leave as family.”  We want each client to feel relaxed, and comfortable while we help them to realize the diva deep within.  I wanted to create a space where everyone could come in, kick back with a glass of wine, or beer, and dish about their day surrounded by laughter and warmth.  Amid the hair dye, buzz of clippers, and blow dryers there is never a dull moment.   

The chance to compete is both an amazing opportunity, and honor for our salon.  We are looking forward to bringing a jaw dropping runway show the judges, and audience are sure to remember.

We are reaching out to the community for donations to help cover the cost of supplies, and travel expenses for this competition.  The competition will be judged on hair, makeup, and costuming, so we want to make sure to bring our A-game and do our community proud.  We aren’t just representing our salon.  We are representing our clients who have put so much faith in us every time they sit in our chairs.  Everyone's support and donations are greatly appreciated!!
