There are never enough resources to preserve and provide access to media collections. For many (many!) of us doing this work, attendance at conferences can be beyond our resources - both professionally and personally.
The ability to meet with colleagues, to collaborate on new opportunities, share solutions to common problems, and learn what new technologies and challenges are coming is crucial to ensure our stewardship of these collections.
AMIA's Community Fund provides grants of up to $1,000 for travel to the annual AMIA Conference . Community Fund Travel Grants are funded through donations from individuals and organizational donors to offer opportunities to participate in the conference for those who otherwise would not be able attend.
