In short, Ponn has been professional blogging since 2005. She officially launched AmericanMuslimMom.com in July 2009 with her homeschooled daughters. In 3 short years, they re-branded twice (due to the massive growth and demand of its community) which includes growing its traffic 5-fold, increasing profits multi-fold, hosting 5 monthly contributors, dozens of guest bloggers, building a blog network with its first Homeschool channel, hosting regular podcasts and vlogs, and having a strong presence in all major social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Alhumdulilah! (Praise be to God).
In 2011, American Muslim Mom experienced its largest growth. While Ponn continued to pay the nearly-dozen regular outsourcers (designers, developers, podcast producers, etc.), she re-invested 100% of profits into the brand. She has never taken a salary, hourly-rate, nor a cash-stipend for her favorite past-time (ice cream with the family!). All her time, efforts, and money have been dedicated and offered to serving Allah subhana Allahu wa Ta'ala (May He be Glorified) through her efforts in building this global community and educational resource center.
Since its inception which continues on today, American Muslim Mom is the #1 ranked online community and blog network for Muslim Moms (and Dads) in the world! 51% of traffic comes from the USA, while 49% comes from 123 other countries.
October 2011 marked a wonderful end of the year, when Ponn's dream come true: to make Hajj. Ya Rabb, Hajj Mabrur (An accepted and complete pilgrimage). Ameen. After four long winter months in the oppressed and depressed lands of Gaza, hubby surprised Ponn with yet her next dream come true: to return to Mecca to make Umrah with her 3 daughters, subhan Allah, Glory be to God.
Fortunate to remain Focused on Faith, Family & Financial Freedom (the new more appropriate tagline for the brand, as of May 2012), Ponn returned to the States with the goal to grow the American Muslim Mom brand as much as possible with no pretenses. Therefore, she re-evaluated its business plan, and decided to build a nonprofit organization. All profits will be re-invested in its community's growth; while making educational resources affordable to those in the West, in order to subsidize those who cannot afford it worldwide.

Important Notes: Donations will be used to apply for 501c3 tax-exempt status, production and development of all charitable programs and the next 6-month's educational resources (such as but not limited to ebooks, Kindle books, audio series, podcasts, video series), office supplies, online and offline publicity, software, and supporting staff. A DBA (Doing Business As) and EIN (Employee Identification Number) for the Foundation has already been secured, alhumdulilah! Praise be to God! Your donations are NOT tax-exempt at this time, and are seen as generous gifts to support the growth of the brand and its mission.
