Antônio Canuso da Conceição (Nino) was diagnosed with SMA(Spinal Muscular Atrophy), a rare syndrome, progressive and degenerative neuromuscular pathology. The disease is characterized by loss of movement and problems in the respiratory system.
Who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy comes to be called, in scientific studies, "cloth doll", for not sustaining the body itself.
It is a fatal disease, however there is a medication called Spiranza. This medication paralyzes the progression of the disease.
The cost of the medication per dose is R$364,565.98 (about $105k) and the total in the first year of treatment reaches R$ 2,187,395.88 (about $560k).
The family is trying to get this medication judicially in Brazil, but it is a time consuming and not a guaranteed process. To advance the treatment, and give hope to Nino, his parents needs to raise funds to at least give him the first dose. If applied before 7 months the results will be greater.

Quem tem Atrofia Muscular Espinhal chega a ser chamado, em estudos científicos, de "boneco de pano", por não sustentar o próprio corpo.
É uma doença fatal, entretanto existe uma medicação chamada Spiranza. Essa medicação paralisa o avanço da doença.
O custo dose da medicação é de R$ 364.565,98. E o total no primeiro ano de tratamento chega a R$2.187.395,88.
A família está tentando conseguir essa medicação por via judicial no Brasil, mas é um processo demorado e sem garantias. Para adiantar o tratamento, e dar esperanças ao Nino, a família precisa arrecadar fundos para pelo menos dar a ele a primeira dose. Pois se aplicada antes dos 7 meses o resultado será muito melhor.
