Many of our AMain Hobbies and AMain Cycling family have experienced devastating loss due to  the Camp Fire in Paradise, California and its surrounding areas. We are actively determining if our people and their loved ones are safe, and ensuring their immediate needs are addressed and taken care of. Thankfully, we are hearing none of our employees lost their life or sustained injuries while fleeing the fire. We have confirmed that thus far, 7 employees have lost their homes in the fire. We have another 9 that are uncertain if their home is gone as of yet. We have heard from many of their harrowing stories of escaping the fire that was burning all around them. Their stories serve as reminders of what is truly important in life; your own life and those of your loved ones and pets.

The fire is still actively burning and the threat for more loss is still a potential. We have heard from many of our customers, vendors, friends, and family, asking how they can help. We are setting up this fund to help provide financial support to those who lost their homes, cars, possessions, as well as beloved pets, so our employees have some financial assistance until they receive insurance money and/or FEMA help. However, we understand that a lot of our employees have experienced loss and do not have any insurance at all, so we want to help them as well. We also are realizing that there are some whose homes have survived but that it may be weeks, if not months, before they can live in their home again due to power lines and infrastructure being gone. We would like to provide some financial support to help them with their short term needs as well.

We want our AMain family to know that we will be with them through this, providing them with support and information as needed, and do all that we can to help their family get back on their feet as quickly as possible. AMain will also be matching funds up to $50,000 to this fund.

Blessings to All,

Kelly Bennett, Owner/Chief People Officer

Hi Everyone, this is our final campaign update as we are now going to close the GoFundMe as we've reached our goal, thanks to all of your help! We are now doing the hard work of processing all that has happened and the magnitude of the devastation. We will be using the fund money to continue helping those at AMain where, and when, they need it.
It's going to be a long process to start the healing process and the rebuilding process, but your donations have helped to ease some of the burdens and stress so many are experiencing. We cannot thank you enough, you are the best of the best of people!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season,
Love from your AMain Family

With your outpouring of love and generosity to our AMain Family, we have now reached our Goal of $50,000! This means that AMain will be matching another $50,000, bringing the total to $100,000 to go towards helping those impacted by the Camp Fire and its devastation!
It's going to be a long recovery ahead. Some are still in limbo, as evacuees are still not able to return to the burn area to start rebuilding or clean up the ashes, while others have been able to secure temporary or permanent housing and start getting the essentials to start over again. We also have scenarios where people can get to Magalia but have to travel the 'back roads' which take about 2 hours one way, which is creating a new, massive commute to work.
Housing has become a serious crisis, as there is too little available for those who need it. Those impacted are having to locate housing 45 minutes to 1 hour away, and even that far away is becoming problematic. Some people own several pets and finding housing to allow pets is an issue too.
The overwhelming magnitude of this disaster has really impacted all of us who live in the community and its outlying areas, and will continue to do so for some time.
We are truly humbled by the outpouring of love and compassion coming in from our customers, vendors, friends, and family. Your help and support have lifted so many, allowing them to see that light within the darkness.
You would be so proud if you saw how everyone at AMain has come together, to be 'Butte Strong', to help each other through this very, very, difficult time.
Love to you All, Many Blessings to You and Yours!

As we all move towards our busiest day of the year, Black Friday, everyone at AMain is already exhausted. Those impacted by the fire who either lost homes or are still evacuated from the area, are burdened with the confusing and emotional tasks of connecting with FEMA, calling insurance companies, obtaining new ID's if needed, standing in long lines to obtain their personal mail, coordinating childcare since some schools are now gone and Butte county has closed all schools until at least December 3, supporting other family members who also lost homes, businesses, jobs, and so much more. Added to all of this is the emotional toll that is hitting all of us as the shock is wearing off. Many are going through the stages of grief.
Your donation means so much to so many at AMain. The funds you are helping us to raise will be going towards helping those who lost it all to rebuild their lives. You'll be helping them not lose paid time off from work, helping them receive reimbursement for any daycare their children need, helping them to start replacing those items that are necessary to have, helping them replace income now lost due to a spouse being out of work, helping meet deductibles for replacing cars and homes, and other needs as they present themselves.
AMain has committed to matching up to $50,000 towards helping our AMain family. With your generosity, I'm happy to report that we are so close to that $50,000 mark!
The love and support our RC and Cycling customers, vendors, friends, and loved ones, have showered on AMain, has been a true beacon of light in this time of darkness.
From the bottom of our hearts, to yours,
Thank you!
Kelly Bennett, CPO/Co-Owner & the entire AMain Family!
