Alvaro Obregon Primary School

As most of you know I am teaching English as a second language to over 70 children in Mexico. This is part of a program with the primary school in Álvaro Obregó near where I live.  As you can imagine, there is very little local funding for basic supplies and the school is in urgent need of repairs. The classrooms have broken windows, many of the doors don't work, there are no external lights, and much of the furniture needs to be replaced. Our plan is to employ local parents to do the repairs and bring the classrooms up to a normal standard. In addition, we want to purchase badly needed teaching materials such as flip charts, computers, world maps, desks and supplies for the students.
