David Angelo Tringali
September 3, 1984 – January 16, 2019

David Tringali passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, California following a four-year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

David was born to Domenico and Diane (Ferguson) Tringali on September 3, 1984, in Fresno, California. He married Amber Michelle Stefanson on November 27, 2005. They raised three children: Zoe Michelle Tringali, age 10; Kalista Grace Tringali, age 8; and David Angelo Tringali II, age 5.

We, as the extended family, would like to thank everyone for your continued support. Amber and the kids need all the love and support we can give at this time. In lieu of flowers, it would be great to help their amazingly strong family out through here. Thanks to all who have been here and we want to keep showing our love throughout this incredibly trying time.

David Tringali was diagnosed with Amotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) aka Lou Gherig Disease, on September 29, 2015 shortly after his 31st birthday. ALS is fatal and on average after diagnosis there is a 2-5 year life expectancy. ALS is a serious illness that needs more awareness. He has been married to his wife Amber for 10 years and has 3 small children; Zoe age 7, Kalista age 5, and David Junior age 2 whom all love their father dearly. (And why we are calling him ALS daddy) Previously he worked as an Office Manager at the law firm, Bradford and Barthel for nearly 10 years. David has since retired due to being terminally ill and has lost a significant portion of his income. His wife Amber continues to work and provide for basic bills and their children's activities. However they do not have the resources to provide for extra medical costs such as making their home handicap accessible, specialized motorized wheelchairs with lifts above the bed and on the car, and there is more to come. The average ALS patient spends 300,000 a year in medical costs. Any donation is a blessing and prayers are always appreciated.

Well it's that time of year when we remember that dreaded day David was diagnosed... it was 3 years ago today 4 since onset of symptoms. So he turned 30 and had ALS. It's been hard with emotional lows and highs. David at this point has no function from the neck down meaning although he feels from the neck down he cannot move anything literally from the neck down. His neck cannot move water or food down his throat, his stomach cannot push anything out naturally, he cannot stretch, itch, or do anything neck down. Neck up his words are gone, his breathing is extremely labored, he has a hard time catching his breath sometimes it's too hard to even utilize his tobii eye tracking machine to talk so he just gives up... he has developed pseudo bulbar, a skin disease, and OIC... he doesn't get out of his hospital bed but rare occasions and is sleepy a ton. But we do what we can kids read to dad, play cars, watch movies, tell him about their day... his eyes light up when his children are around and he still has his big beautiful smile... kind soul and heart... best daddy best husband he has taught me so much I didn't know about love conquering all.. times are tough his long term disability just told us that it has expired and we lost another 40% of our already reduced income but we are living each day as best we can and fighting for our family... we have worries and fears present day and future ones but we have given the Lord our yolk the best way we can and lift him up and pray for a miracle... anyways I hope this all makes sense as I woke up at 4 this morning having trouble sleeping because of the date of this day.. love to all and thank you for taking the time to read this xoxo the Tringali Family
