Alphonso Amos Election Recount

Donation protected
Most of us reading this note know that the Port Huron or St. Clair County Absentee Ballots seemingly always come in very late and mysteriously changes the outcome of every election.

The history of Port Huron elections has shown that the city Clerk and reliable contrary incumbents council persons or commissioners in the districts within the city are routinely overwhelming beneficiaries of mysterious late night surges in absentee ballots despite their losing at the polls.

Alphonso Amos ran for District 3 St. Clair County Commissioner in the August 7th Primary election. The election night result showed Alphonso as winning the election by 26 votes with 648 in his favor and 622 in the favor of his opponent, however at around 2:00 a.m. the numbers changed with his opponent winning the election 803-725. This surge in numbers is claimed to have been the cause of absentee ballots that had not been counted or included in the county’s reporting.

When asked why these numbers weren’t reported it is being claimed that their was issues with running the ballots thru the voting machine more than once causing for a reset of the machine and ballots to be ran through all over again. This mishap shows the need for a recount.

Alphonso and his team feel that we owe it to all our supporters and those who voted for Alphonso to prepare for a recount process. If the burden of recount should fall to Team Amos, we will need to raise between $1700 and $2000 for legal fees. The Friends of Alphonso Amos group will oversee the collection of these funds.

We have some very tight deadlines ahead of us, so we have decided to begin the fundraising process now. If each person who voted for Alphonso contributed only $5 to this fund, we would more than meet our financial need.

Any funds we do not use for recount legal fees will go to a charity that serves the southend of Port Huron.
