Alpha Vidad's medical fund

Hello everyone. We have created this page to help our dear friend and coworker, Alpha Vidad, who is struggling financially due to health problems. She has been in the hospital since January 26, 2017. We hope you can help us raise the amount that she needs so that she can be released from the hospital where she is staying. (She is unable to be released, until $4500 of the bill is payed down.)

Alpha is a single parent to two teenagers. She is one of our editors in transcription who last year was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer. She underwent a total left radical mastectomy on May 16, 2016.  She is still on a pending radiation therapy and hormonal therapy due to a painful lump that is growing beside her left armpit.

In the same year, sadly, her mom passed away. Things have been very rough for her.  Hospitalizations and expenses have been building up, and in January of this year, she was rushed to the hospital due to a bad fall that caused a fracture on her left hip, and she underwent hip surgery.

She has already maxed-out her health insurance, and gotten financial aid from the government, but the hospital still requires her to pay $4,500 before they can release her. She needs to be released so she can start working again to pay the balance (which is around $7,900, after the 4500 we are trying to help her raise). Her salary stopped in January. We have sent her some financial help already, but so far, that only covers the daily expenses including medications.
