Ally's Fight Against Lymphoma

Donation protected
Earlier this week (Nov 10, 2016), Allison Chichizola (15 years old) was diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Stage IV Hodgkin lymphoma is characterized by affecting the lymph nodes both above and below the diaphragm, and cancer cells elsewhere in the body, in a lung, or in the liver or bone, an in Ally's case, in her bone marrow.

Lymphoma is cancer that begins in infection-fighting cells of the immune system, called lymphocytes. These cells are in the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, bone marrow, and other parts of the body. When you have lymphoma, lymphocytes change and grow out of control.

We are confident in Ally's recovery, but she has a difficult fight ahead of her.  She will begin 12 rounds of chemo this week at UCSF's Benioff Children's Hospital, with world-renowned childhood cancer experts.

Ally's family is committed to doing everything in their power to help Ally beat this. The Go Fund Me site has been created to help her mother and father, Cheryl Seymour and Dave Chichizola, along with her step parents, Cheri Chichizola and Kevin Seymour, with her medical expenses.

Please consider making a donation to the family on behalf of Ally. It will no doubt make a difference in their fight to help Allison overcome her illness and put her on the road to recovery.
