Allegra’s fight
In less than a month our life has been turned upside down. On the 25th February, we took Allegra to the hospital as a teacher at school noticed one of her eyes was bigger than the other.
In the last 3 weeks, our beautiful, caring, sweet, happy daughter, Allegra, has been diagnosed with cancer. She has had to endure multiple scans, tests, surgery for a biopsy, surgery to implant a port and her first round of chemotherapy. Nobody wishes this disease on anyone, certainly not your 8 year old child. With many more months of treatment to come we want to make this time as positive as we can for her.
In the next few weeks she will lose her hair due to the chemo. Before this happens, Allegra and a group of us will throw a party, cut our hair short or colour our hair and celebrate life. As part of this, Allegra would like to raise funds for Camp Quality, who provide programs and services to develop life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children growing up with cancer.
Although this is only the start of a very long and painful journey, the assistance, support and care we have already received from our family, friends, Allegra’s teachers and workplaces has been extraordinary.

I would never have got this far without all the support from my friends, family, doctors and teachers. They have all been so supportive to me and now I know that by the end of September I WILL be better.
Donating will help give other kids chances to have lots of fun while
they’re receiving treatment too. Camp Quality does always say, “Laughter is the best medicine!!”
