Allan's Fight for his Life

Donation protected
When my twin boys were 11 months old my caregiver Lily had a grandson, Allan Roxas. Over the years the 3 boys were inseparable. Allan grew up to be a loving, kind and gentle 16 year old teenager and what has transpired over the past few months is unbelievably cruel.

Allan began to complain of some leg pain earlier this year and an X-ray was done showing a worrisome lesion in his femur. Since this time he has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, known to many as the Terry Fox tumour. He has undergone a three month course of chemotherapy followed by an amputation of his femur as the doctors were unable to spare his leg. He has metastasis to his lungs that was being addressed by another course of chemotherapy when Allan began to experience seizures. A CT of the head showed very rare metastasis to his brain.
Allan is not ready to give up. The amazing team at The Hospital for Sick Children will proceed with radiation therapy to slow the tumour in his brain.

I am reaching out on behalf of his mother Jessie and older brother Christian for financial support during this difficult time. Jessie is a single mother with rent to pay and continues to work overnight jobs as a PSW in order to feed her family while at the same time desperately wanting to be home with Allan. Please donate anything you can so that Jessie can take some time off to be with her son. If you are unable to donate financially, words of encouragement are always appreciated. Allan and his family are working hard to fight this terrible disease but they need our help. The situation is urgent.
