Allah Strong

Allah is a loving husband, father, brother, son and uncle. On November 22nd he went into the ER, was admitted to the hospital for high calcium levels and they continued to run tests to figure out what was going on. He spent Thanksgiving in the hospital, was discharged Saturday and was to follow up with an Oncologist.  The following Tuesday they got the results back from a test run while in the hospital and he was told to go to the LDS Hospital and be admitted to the Bone Marrow transplant wing. He was admitted and the doctors did a bone marrow biopsy. They still didn't know exactly what was going on so they kept him there to monitor until the results from the biopsy came back.  On Thursday November 30th, after a week of being in the hospital and countless tests run, Allah was diagnosed with Acute T Cell Lymphoma/Leukemia. The doctors haven't really dealt with a case like Allah's so they have been working with doctors in St. Louis, Japan, and France. This type of cancer doesn't respond to Chemotherapy so he will be receiving 30 days of the drug Interferon, and hopefully be in remission to do a bone marrow transplant. He will be in the hospital at least for the 30 days and possibly longer. Obviously, a hospital stay that long with the treatment he is receiving is very costly, and they will need to meet their out of pocket maximum again at the very beginning of the year. Allah will be out of work, Megan, his wife, will continue to work while taking care of their 2 year old daughter and being with Allah as much as possible.
