OPERA-tion Alicia: Study in Italy!

My name is Alicia Wallace. I'm an aspiring opera singer, as well as a current doctoral student in classical vocal performance and music history at the University of North Texas (UNT). I have a Master's degree in Voice and Opera from UNT, as well as a Bachelor's in Voice from the Eastman School of Music.
I have sung in many places throughout my life, including Scotland, and many smaller venues in the US. But now I have the chance to study and sing opera in Italy for one month this coming Summer 2015! After auditioning in December, I have been accepted to the Musica Nelle Marche summer program in Urbino, Italy!
To help in my fundraising for the program, I have started a GoFundMe page where family and friends can make donations to help me get to Italy! This is a once in a lifetime OPERA-tunity, where I'll be singing in historic venues such as Castello di Frontone, the Cagli Theater, and other venues in the Marche region of Italy.
The program is also routed in intensive Italian language study for about 3 hours every day, with voice lessons, coachings and rehearsals in the afternoon, and performances take place each week. The tuition for this program is $4,200, which includes room, board, all lessons, coachings and excursions to Venice, Florence and Verona. The airfare is not included, and will be roughly $1,800 to fly into Bologna and back.
