Recently, a friend of mine asked me to help her friend Alex out. Alex had been reaching out for help, wanting to get clean. I messaged Alex on Facebook and he called me immediately. It's so refreshing helping someone that really wants it.
Alex has been determined since the minute we talked.
Alex not only needs residential treatment and detox, he WANTS it!!
After nearly a week of doing a lot of footwork, and hitting obstacle after obstacle ( no money and his county benefits are only getting him put onto very long waiting lists) we found a facility that will scholarship him for 90% of his stay.
This facility will help Alex much more than any county facility can.
We are raising the part that the scholarship won't cover, $5,000 + anything to help cover costs while he waits it out (Drs fees for detox, hotel room and sober companion)
Any amount helps! He's so willing, I want to help him get in!
