Alex Gillam recovery spinal injury

On the 10th of December 2016, my younger brother almost died. He survived, his life was forever changed. He was hit by a boat, he was free diving, trying to catch crayfish for our Christmas lunch. He suffered a broken back, damaged spinal chord, nearly all ribs were broken and both lungs collapsed. He survived this. We were told he would be a paraplegic. We almost lost him again to a 'code blue' caused by an infection in a lung due to the damage. He survived this. My 'little' brother is a fighter. He is an amazing person, phenomenal friend, beautiful father to 2 gorgeous girls, and above all, a special human. I'm asking for assistance to make sure he gets the physio he needs to recover and reach his goals, to walk, run and surf again. If you are able, the contribution will solely be to ensure he reaches these goals. I know he will 'pay forward'. He plans on helping others in similar challenges through their recovery by sharing his experiences and eventually assisting them with their physical rehabilitation. This is a long term goal. For now, we need to get him 'up and running'.
