Alexander Buchanan (also known as Bender) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly March 1st, 2018.
This is a huge loss. To family, friends, fans...the world.
Growing up, he had such immense talent even as a young boy. His drawings were amazing, he played guitar, wrote music. We could all see that he was going to grow to be an amazing artist in so many mediums.
I’m sorry, I don’t really know how to write this. I could spend days upon days telling stories about him.
He loved to paint, to write, to do music. He was always knowledgeable about world events and discussions.
He was in a group called Flight Distance, with MC Patience and DJ Calkuta. They travelled playing shows and put out several albums.
He also had his solo music he put out.
Loe Pesci showed Alex a new way to express his creativity through battle rap. Enter King of the Dot.
As many of you know, he was a pillar in the battle rap community. He loved it. Every aspect of it. The writing, the creativity, the battle of wits, the wordplay.
Everyone in the battle rap rap community was his family. Fellow Mc’s, staff, fans, everyone. He got to meet so many people and travel to so many countries.
I’m sorry, I really can’t do this right now. I will post updates, stories, photos etc in the coming days.
No funeral or memorial date has been set as of yet. I will keep everyone informed.
This money is to help the family out with all the costs involved. He lived in Quebec, so travelling will also be necessary.
I want to thank everyone for the tremendous support and the wonderful things being said.
