The Graham Family Needs You!
Many of you may know us personally or our brother Alden Graham. Currently our brother and best friend is fighting for his life. A few weeks ago, Alden set out for the adventure of a lifetime. He and a group of students from WPI departed for Cape Town, South Africa. Their mission was to not only complete their studies abroad, but also take part in different humanitarian projects. Alden and his team particularly set out to provide service dinning rooms by engaging with the homeless community and assessing their needs.
Last week our family was informed Alden was being taken to the hospital. Trying to remain positive, we rallied as a family and were hopeful it was just a nominal reason. To our complete dismay, we were informed that he was hemorraging from the brain. They have been unable to stop it and the severity of the crisis has increased. Both of our parents are with Alden, we are currently working on obtaining emergency passports to fly out tonight to be with our brother.
With that; comes the heavy burden this has put on not only our parents, but also our extended famliy. The medical system in SA is quite different and we are having ot pay out of pocket for care upfront, travel faire is costly, and on top of that staying in a foreign country for extended stay to be near him has left our family in a financial hardship.
We are seeking support in two forms...1. PRAY! Being a family of faith, we are trying to remain hopeful that God will provide all we need for Alden and our family. Please pray for Alden, our family, and peace for our parents. 2. We are seeking fiscal donations to help our parents and family manage the conintual accumlation of costs this crisis has created. For flights and passports ALONE we have paid over $6k.
We put this together because we have had numerous people asking how they can contribute and we by no means expect anything other then prayers. Any contribution and form of support is greatly appreciated and already considered a blessing! Thank you all for your support!
